So as you may have noticed if you were paying attention I did not post a fic as I had hoped. I was not able to break pokemon's hold... However... I can report that I have not put any serious effort in to playing the game since Sunday...
That is because I got a new cell phone!!!
In relation to my fic writing the good news is that the phone broke my pokemon obsession, however now I am slightly obsessed with the phone. The good and bad of that is that phones only hold my attention for about a week... However the phone is am iPhone... So I may never get tired of messing with it.
I'm still getting used to the phone... Like for instance I can not find how to put the accent over the e in pokemon or how to get the shift or whatever so I can WRITE IN CAPS without pressing the caps key every single letter :-/ and I haven't figured out how to get my documents on the phone so I can work on them again (putting the fics on the phone would in fact kill two birds with one stone).
Right now I am just playing with the apps. I have been buying apps (I use the word "buy" loosely, all of the apps that I have right now were 100% free) for about three months before I ever had the phone. So far Amateur Surgeon Christmas Eddition is my favorite .... But I've got about 80 apps and I've opened about 15 of them.
Anyway, it's snowing... AGAIN. I am not a fan of snow, not since getting out of grade school... or rather not since I have to clean off my car and drive in it. Seriously the people of DC do not know how to drive carefully in rain, the lose their shit in snow I could seriously rant about this for an hour... But I won't I mean at least I don't live in Missouri... *grumble* I bet people in Missouri know how to drive in snow*/grumble*
So, um I spent 30 minutes at work today helping my assistant manager answer some really fun! ridiculously silly math questions... Which turned out to be for a job she's applying to. honestly I answered most of the questions I should have applied to the Job :-P also, I probably shouldn't have helped her in case they you know... expect her to know how to actually answer those questions. Shit maybe she'll get a job and hire me. ^_^ Anyway, the point of that story was to point out that even the fricken assistant manager is trying to leave! The new manager is driving everyone crazy everyone wants to leave. I should be working on my resume right now.
Anyway, what ever happens, happens. Que sera sera and all that.
